If you live in one of 33 participating local government areas your household can register to receive a free tree between March and May as part of the Premier’s Priorities Greening our City initiative.
The 2021 Free Tree Giveaway initiative will help the state achieve its goal to plant one million trees in Greater Sydney by 2022. Eligible households are encouraged to plant a free tree in their background to provide more shade, cleaner air and to help make our city even more beautiful.
IndigiGrow, an all Aboriginal owned and staffed not-for-profit nursery in La Perouse, has partnered with our state government to provide these trees from March to May. Further opportunities for free trees will be announced on the government’s website in June 2021, offering a range of pickup locations.
