Shape the future of apartment living

Did you know 10% of Australia’s population live in apartments. To put this in context, imagine everyone in Canberra and Perth combined living in apartments – yes, that’s a lot of people.

According to Australian National Strata Data 2018, apartment residents are a diverse group. Less than half are born in Australia, 50 per cent are aged between 20-39, 800,000 live by themselves and 420,000 residents have children living in their apartment.

The trend of people choosing to live up, not out is set to continue. Expectations from buyers and residents of apartments have shifted dramatically since 1961 when the very first strata titled building in the world was approved in Burwood, Sydney. So, what changes can be made to improve the standard of apartment living in Australia?

To help answer this question, the Australian Apartment Advocacy and Strata Community Association is conducting a national survey to find out.

Spare 10 minutes to help shape the future of apartment living and be in a chance to win a $1,000 prepaid VISA card. Survey closes Friday, 29 March 2019.
